New favorite dress in action...

So I decided to publish as many posts as I can for now, since in about a week I'm not sure I will be able to update that often and my outfits will be mostly bathing suits and not much more...I probably will have some scheduled posts, but I'm not a big fan of those so we'll see...

This is my new favorite dress, from 2 posts ago. It's very versatile and the color makes it a perfect match to almost any other shade. I already paired it with a dark green jacket in New York and very eager to find new matches for it in my closet.

This time I decided to pair it with a simple grey sweater. I got my mine ages ago from Castro men's collection. Then I was looking for the slightly off oversized look, but in this case I would actually prefer a slightly more feminine round neck with shoulder seams in place, but you gotta work with what you have.

By now my craving for red is in its' prime, and makes me covet every red piece I see. Luckily i have 2 pairs of red flats to feed my addiction. But I have a feeling they will not be enough and I will have to look for a coat, a sweater or a pair of high heels as I said in a previous post, with more statement...For this dress though, I think flats are the way to go if you're choosing red...

Have a great week!

Sparkle

After a short break that seems like an eternity for the blog world, I'm back with pictures of my new dress...I'm sorry...My new favorite dress...!!!

Photobucket

I bought it from Etsy.com and I just cannot believe my luck! It has every feature I was looking for in a sequined dress and it's one of the kind, because it's vintage and all the sequins are hand stitched !!! You cannot believe the amount of work someone put in this dress...Well now it is in a very appreciative hands!!!

Me and the boyfriend decided that this dress requires a night photo shoot, although I can see how it is possible to make it more "day" appropriate with a grey cardi and a pair of flat boots... Maybe come fall I will show the toned down version of this dress, but right now it makes me feel festive and it sparkles!!!

The shoes are also a new buy from Aldo. I have to say that it's my first pair of heels from this brand and I'm impressed with how comfortable they are!

On a bit different note, I'm building my fall wardrobe right now and I mysteriously find myself returning to one color: black! I want everything and anything in black... Sleek, smart, fitted, that's what I want come fall... Maybe this is the returning student in me talking, but yes I do need some smart clothes for my school...

I remember when I did my first degree I was considered a bit too fancy looking for my college and I didn't even wear heels or something that I would consider "out there", so I hope this time I will get a chance to go crazy with my outfits!!!

Time is running out and I have this ticking clock inside my head telling me "So much to do, so little time" but somehow this just makes me to slow down and freeze instead of being productive...So I'm racing against the clock!

Yellow skirt

After the pastel colors and light garments, I just had to wear something darker, with textures and contrasts...so here's a mixture of sequins, jeans, jersey and silk :))

I had a very interesting conversation with a friend of mine not a long time ago about personal style...I always admired people who have a cohesive and very personal style, which you can always recognize...Girls like Rumi or Alix or Gala have such a wonderful approach to clothes, though each one is different and unique...Even when they experiment and push the boundaries they remain true to their style...

Photobucket

I always find that very hard to stick to one style. One day I love florals: sometimes tiny delicate prints, sometimes big and loud prints. The next day I'm more in rough studded stuff and leather. Then I go completely girly and choose to wear pastels. And after that I feel like wearing a plain white tee with a basic black skirt...

Photobucket

It is really hard for me to choose a color pallet, because there are too many colors that I love and generally so many directions that are tempting me and I can't just stick to one...

Photobucket

But I guess that is also ok, since fashion is all about fun and trying and making it work for you...Unlike my hair, that really doesn't want to cooperate these days :)

I just have to add that I'm in love with my new shoes from Mango! They exist in metallic version (besides black and white) and I only hope that they will still have it stocked in the store during the sales...because buying two pairs of shoes for full price is too much...(since it's not the only pair I bought this month, more on that in further posts)... Comfy and really versatile, I think they will be one of my favorite pairs this summer :)

Off to bed now!
Have a great week :)

Topshop...

I'm not the kind of girl who gets buyer's remorse often, I usually very happy and satisfied with what I bought.
But I think that my new "do I really need this" policy of buying is getting to me, because I bought a great pair of shoes and I'm unsure about them...
These beautiful babies are high...really high....and they're great "go out" shoes. I'm just afraid I won't get to wear them often because they're a bit too dressy for me...
Which leads me to the dillema: should I keep them or should I pick another pair instead? I tried the brown ones with the buckle but they didn't have my size...What do you think?

The shoes I bought are the black/offwhite with the snake trim

Zara

Zara's website was updated not so long ago and I was ecstatic...The colors, the shapes, the SHOES!!!
I have to admit I wasn't that exited when I visited the store a couple of days ago but the website makes me want to pop to the store every day to see if something new has arrived!
I just love the shoes: the yellow and purple shoes that have the most amazing shape....the nude shoes with laces in the front, the black pair with the ankle bracelet...I have to have all of them!
And also the color palette of the clothes: the peaches and the nudes are amazing and also the color clashes of blues pinks reds etc... I'm planning to get the peach jacket, or even the peach suit (if it will make its' way to Israel), the purple bubble skirt...the peach/nude dress I guess I am that easy...:)

Shoes shoes shoes

Being the irresponsible shoe maniac that I am, I wasn't surprised when I discovered that i bought 4 pairs of shoes (amongst other things) in time period of 2 weeks...Which could be ok if I wasn't between jobs right now...so my credit card is hidden in a safe place until it will be ok to shop again...:)

Well, what's done is done and I can only enjoy the shoes because they will be a great staples for summer...

Photobucket

the first pair is Chloe sandals I bought on Net-a-Porter and already showed here, the second pair are the most gorgeous pair of flats from Bottega Veneta. I just love the soft leather and the shape of these shoes...and they feel like slippers on your feet...

After indulging in designer shoes, I turned to my main source of shoes, which is Zara of course. It seems like they get better every season or maybe it's just me being dizzy from all the spring collections. But I also found something great on sale...!

First pair is sandals with a very high heel and laces...it looks great and will be one of my "go to" pairs this summer.

The second pair is a pair of pumps with wooden platform. I just fell in love with the shape and the texture of the leather...again, very practical and actually comfy...and it cost me 150 shekels (less than 40$)..

Sequins and feathers and beads

Lately I developed a "thing" for sequins and embellishments. Usually I'm a very conservative- muted or dark colors lover. But lately my closet started to fill with all sorts of sequined pieces, beaded dresses and clutches. I even bought a blue feathered handbag...(!) Some of the pieces are wearable and some of them are just for pure fun. Sequins add some sort of festiveness to everything, and lighten up even the most boring outfit...and that is the reason I love them...

Photobucket

These shoes have never been worn, I bought them 4 years ago, and just couldn't find the right occasion, but it doesn't make me love them less...Do you have some items that you love but just can't find the right time for them?
