My favorite kind of pink...

Actually this kind of pink is not my favorite but...I'm addicted to it this summer (yes I'm easy when it comes to trends :) )

Work clothes

So thousand miles away from the beautiful country that Thailand is, here I am in my work clothes in Tel Aviv.

Very unoriginal of me: I'm wearing all Zara from current and previous seasons.

Having such a beautiful weather calms me down, I'm not ready yet for all the heat and the sun, I want to wear my jackets.

This jacket is just the prefect color and I wore it to death already. Actually I can honestly say that all the outfit is "go to" clothes.

How do you feel about the snakeskin print? I'm really loving it! I have to admit much more than leopard, or maybe it's just my inner Chloe and acne geek is talking...Anyway plan to see much more of snake on the blog :)

The coat...

I was so excited to wear my winter coat! I was afraid it will not get any lovin' this season but fortunately the crisp weather in Milano allowed me to wear it...

Photobucket

I wore it with my new brown jacket from Zara and a vintage blouse in nude colors as well...overall I got a very cool and neutral outfit that served me well...

Black or white

Of course I couldn't start the year without an outfit post!

So this is not my New Year's outfit but I wish I was someplace I could wear this next New Year's eve!

Photobucket

This jacket is probably the most cherished vintage piece in my closet. Real Chanel jacket with such a rare silhouette is of course a keeper! I'm just afraid I'm not equipped to take a really good care of it! I try though :)

Photobucket

My real problem was what to wear with the jacket. On the first outing I paired it with a simple balloon dress from Zara, but this wasn't the perfect piece to pair it with. In fact I'm still searching for the perfect shirt dress, as this one I'm wearing here is not a great quality and takes away from the wonderfulness of the jacket. The quest continues but there might be a good enough solution found this week!

Photobucket

I'm wearing: vintage Chanel jacket, Shirtdress from Zara and shoes from Rick Owens

Update: Finally I found the jacket in FW 1992 collection on Youtube. Look for it after 5:05 ! I was always wondering how it was styled originally as it was clearly a runway piece. Now I know :)

That 70's look...

So writing scheduled post is pretty weird...I have very little idea where I will be when this post is published but I'm sure I will be taking lots of pictures!

Photobucket

I have never been to Thailand and never got to go to the "I just finished the army I want to forget about the world for half a year" trip, because I started my degree straight away. So I'm pretty excited about this trip and hope Thailand will be everything people told me about and more.

Hopefully I will get the chance to update the blog from there even though I'm not taking the laptop.

So this outfit was inspired by this post by the Sartorialist. I have these jeans for a while now. They're not as loose as they used to be but I still like them. My boyfriend and his guy friends however, told me that it's a really bad idea and rejected the beloved Sartorialist image as well...Another man repeller?

Well, if you read my blog for a while you probably know it's not the first time (and not the last) the boyfriend and I have such a different views on fashion...We agree to disagree :)

Hidden treasures...

Unfortunately I didn't have the time to update the blog as  promised, but I did have a chance to take sooo many pictures.

Recently I was helping my friend to showcase the jewelry that he is making and of course I didn't miss the chance to use some images for the blog.

So this is the first images from the series, everything from the next few posts will be a part of this little project...

This silk maxi dress was bought a couple of years ago from Zara, it was on sale and I couldn't leave it  in the store. It was just hanging in my closet since then, up until lately when I finally got the chance to wear it to a concert in Alice truly Hall in New York.

Of course the boyfriend "modeled" some stuff as well :))

Even though it is not relevant now, I feel that the dress looks much more casual paired with a simple grey sweater (same on from the last post) and I think during the cold weather I would wear it with black boots and maybe a parka when it's even colder.

Photobucket

I felt it was a great dress for showcasing the eclectic necklaces and we had lots of fun shooting everything...

Tomorrow I will be on my way to Thailand for a vacation. Even though I traveled quite a lot this year, it always had a purpose: studies, work, internship etc...It will be nice to relax and have pure fun with no stress (hopefully)...

Same yard, same clothes and a different state of mind...

So I still didn't figure out what this weather is all about, I'm all tights and layers so discovering that  I have to get rid of those extra layers (and some extra weight I gained while eating burgers with bacon and not feeling it under all those layers in NY) is quite upsetting. Most of the time I literally feel overdressed style wise but underdressed when it comes to the number of garments I put on myself before I leave the house. As it turns out permanent weather changes are tricky!

But it is cold enough for a jacket now, at least come evening, so I decided to use my old old Zara clothes (everything in this post is Zara, very boring of me!) in order to create something that is relevant for now. I'm still lusting after this amazing red coat they have on their website but I will probably have to suck it up...

This skirt is too short for my current liking and I doubt it will be used too much without tights pared to it, but i liked how navy and the camel pairing together so nicely and creating somewhat a fresher look than my regular black skirt. Maybe I should look for a longer replacement.

I feel like it's the right time to introduce some high red heels to my wardrobe...I believe this outfit would benefit from this addition, at least for night time...I'm thinking some Isabel Marant style pointy shoes?
Even though I can't do kitten heel (I feel my legs won't benefit a thing from this style) I would look for something a bit chunkier with the same concept. I wish they made  these in red...

Pardon my tired face, still very very jet lagged !
P.S: my mom took pictures this time, isn't she great?! :)

Same jacket, different day...

Keeping with the light colors, i wanted to create a strange combination, still in a very subtile and gentle way...So pink and orange were the prefect candidates for this mission.
I chose a longer basic skirt to complement pink and orange and added a basic wooden pump I found at Zara on sale ages ago. Besides the Chloe top, everything else, is actually Zara, from previous seasons.

Photobucket

I suspect this outfit not everyone's cup of tea, but part of the blog and it's purpose for me is to hold these kind of experimentations in order to see if an outfit works or not. Maybe I will rework it with a different, and in summer, the jacket will have to go, but the main thing: the color combination is something that I will definitely want to keep wearing.

Photobucket

Meanwhile Milan is coming out of a rainy period, with more sun but also wind...I really wish it was a bit warmer, because I am tired of covering and wearing everything with tights. I don't really like ow colorful tights look on me and always stick to the basic black so it's becoming quite a task to wear lighter clothes, because black tights immediately ruin the lightness and airiness of the look.

Photobucket

Besides, as I mentioned on my website, it is sample sales period, which can be quite hard, as by the end of this period (of studying and not working) I can't enjoy those sales, and they are really worthy. But I keep reminding myself that there will be other sales, every season, so it is not a lost cause :)

Have a great day! Kisses!

Home sweet home

My short but sweet visit home is over. I am back to Milan, feeling refreshed and reinforced and ready to face the upcoming tests!

Going home after 6 months was a strange but good experience, filled with mom's food, friends and family, and just hanging out spending time with each other. Of course I didn't want to leave!

I had time to take pictures for the blog and to browse through the summer wardrobe. Fortunately the weather was on my side and I enjoyed warm days and didn't even need a jacket!

Photobucket

Now I am back in Milan, ready for the summer with stacks of dresses, skirts, sandals that I brought instead of the winter clothes...

Photobucket

I feel like I am going to be hooked on beiges, browns neutral colors and earth tones this summer
( like everybody else) because I had a black overdose this winter. I also feel like this summer I really want to embrace long floaty skirts, just because they are so comfortable and easy to wear...just like this one!

This outfit was everything I wanted to wear during my holiday, the colors, the shapes and the wedges felt very easy and uncompromising. The skirt and the top are from Zara previous seasons. The beading on the top is unraveling but I kind of prefer it that way, not perfect :)

The wedges were bought about 5 years ago, and feel right again. Unfortunately I had to leave them in Israel, as I had too little space in my suitcase...

Hope everyone had great holidays!

Kisses!
