Take 2

From one post in two weeks to two posts in a row...quite a change...

Actually I have some free time on my hands and I truly enjoy doing nothing: surfing my favorite blogs, reading the news, catching up on the fashion week pics...

Lately I received some mails asking me wether I'm going to continue updating while in Italy, and while at first things might be slow, I promise that it will get only better: I'm going to be where the fashion is actually happening so there will be plenty of inspiration and ideas...and thanks to a two day weekend instead of one, I will actually have time to update! (I hope)

The move is only a couple of weeks away (17 days, I'm counting) and I'm super excited!!! But of course also worried about how everything will turn out to be...

Now about the clothes: This Chloe blouse appeared here, when I was in NY (I already want to go back!) but I felt like I didn't get it enough love :)
I actually bought it on my Birthday on some serious discount (and it was still expensive) but I loved it so much and also wanted to feel what's it like to shop at Sacks Fifth Avenue...so it was a birthday gift (one of many:) )

The skirt is a favorite vintage find, the clutch is also vintage, and the shoes are from Topshop...

Looking for the next Chloe SS collection ...

Kisses!

No time to breathe

I've been a bad blogger lately, but believe me, it's really not because I'm lazy...I'm a little bit overwhelmed with work, family and the "big move"...There's no other way to explain it, just I really don't have the time to breathe...

But things will get better and I was ready for this period of time, when everything is hectic and crazy, but I didn't think there will be so many issues I need to take care of and it's holidays! Which means some things will happen later than I need them to... Too bad I don't even have time to tune in and see what's going on with the fashion week and my favorite blogs...

Anyway, enough about that :)

Since this is once again a night photos, I just had to add some sparkles and sequins with my favorite leather skirt and top... This color combination: Black and pale pink is one of my favorites: it looks fresh and elegant at the same time... I kept my jewelry minimal but I feel like a chunky necklace would work good as well (I don't have something like that but maybe I'll go jewelry hunting this week at Gan ha Hashmal).

The shoes aren't new, I got them in NY (amongst others) at Century 21 for 100$ which is a find and is the same price as Zara shoes for example...I'm very proud of myself for snatching to pairs from that sale section :)))

This time I will be short, so have a great week everyone :)

Chained

I decided to start posting more often, since I'm about to disappear for a while after my move: it will take time to find an apartment and to install an internet connection there...

So until then I will make an effort not to be a lazy blogger :)

This outfit is and oldie but goodie as I call it: so familiar but still so relevant (at least for me), the only thing that changes are the shoes...I wore it last winter with tights and thigh high boots and jacket, but it works with sandals as well...

Since winter I'm obsessed with piling on chains and necklaces Givency style and now I started to mix silver and gold together and I'm very pleased with the result...

I still didn't receive my September issue of Vogue one of my favorite treats for fall (I did receive Vogue Russia though and it's great) and speaking of it, I really really want to see the documentary...I'm quite excited about it!!! Funny how each fall I start to feel excited about fashion again...

On a more personal note (I already twitted about it), my cousin arrives from Moscow on friday and I'm really excited to see her (last time I saw her we were still little girls)... Each family member is responsible for a different part of entertainment : Eilat, Jerusalem...and of course I'm responsible to take her shopping in Tel Aviv... I'm thinking Gan ha Hashmal, Masrik, Dizengoff etc... It's going to be fun :)

This time the whole outfit is from Zara...:)

Hope you already having a great week!!!

The doubts

We all have our doubts, even when we seem to like the outfit we wear, somehow all the confidence disappears the minute we walk out the door.

I'm sure this happened to many other girls, and it sure happened to me more then once... And that is what also happened to me with this post... Here's the story:

Lately the stress of moving to another country got to me: having to handle loads and loads of bureaucracy  that accompanies any long term stay in another country and of course add work, a couple of projects plus a strong will to go out every night (I won't see my friends for at least one year, I have to!) and there you have it: exhaustion and confusion... That is basically why I neglected this blog and I'm kind of confused about this outfit...

I wanted to find the right bottom for my new favorite Zara shirt, and inspired by the Chloe winter color palette I opted for beiges and greens and yellows... Still wanted to keep it summery so these old bermuda shorts came to help  (Basically I'm not a bermuda shorts kind of girl so this one is also weird for me)... some neutral shoes, a Yellow vintage bag  and I was set... But... I needed more layers... In the perfect world I would throw on a cardigan but I decided to settle for this vest...

This outfit, seemed like a perfect idea, but to tell you frankly I'm not sure about it now... I decided to post it for two reasons: first is to hear what you think (in a polite and considering way please:)) ) and second: to show that doubting yourself is part of fashion...We doubt each time we take a garment out of the closet and we deliberate about it... And each time we dress is like a bank canvas: one time you get it right, the next, you get it.

On other note, this week I will finally have some free time for proper posts... And I'm going to see Madonna's show!

 Have a great week everyone!

I wish it was...

I wish it was winter already!!!

Yes, my mind is wondering to cloudy skies, chilly winds, rain and early dark... I am a fall winter girl even though my winters haven't been that good to me last couple of years... weather wise or anything wise...I hope this next winter will be different!

Photobucket

I guess it is the same for every fashion lover: we crave for winter in the summer and we pray for a sunny day in winter, so we can parade the newest purchases which are of course, inappropriate for the current season...
This year I will get to wear the winter clothes earlier than usual, but I want to wear them now!!!

Photobucket

The editorials, the new collections in stores got me all excited and it's like that every year! I know many people feel the same...

Photobucket

This outfit portrays two ways you can wear the same garment: one time if it was possible to wear bootie in the Israeli summer and the second is quite weather appropriate...I would love to add a thick knitted cardigan to the first version for the extra layer but it was just impossible to pull off and I would feel totally ridiculous!

Photobucket

On a different note: I just received a great book about fashion merchandising as a gift... although as a fashion buyer it isn't directly my "area" but it is such a fascinating subject...

Off to work

Somehow I find myself wearing this outfit over and over again, but never featuring it here...So I decided it's about time...

Photobucket

A simple tunic shirt paired with cotton skirt and my favorite belt. Yes I'm breaking my own summer rules again for fashion's sake!:)))

Photobucket

I'm really trying to get myself into fall/winter mode, because Milan in october is quite cold and I have to be ready to wear some cardigans and jackets in month and a half!!! That sound insane to me now, because I still can't accept the upcoming events - as real thing to come...So my luggage will be full with light dresses and cardigans/jackets until my mom will send me the rest of my stuff when we'll find a place to live. By the way, a shout out to everyone who studied abroad: what is the easiest way to get all my things there?

Photobucket

And speaking of fall winter...If you didn't see it yet rush over to Zara website!!! they have some great clothes there, I just hope some of them will be in stock when I'll get there...I'm hopeless when it comes to Zara...

Photobucket

P.S. ihave some DIY ideas coming soon!!! I kind of forgot about my crafty side and I'm really excited I have new ideas popping in my head!!! Hope I'll find the time and won't be lazy :)

Photobucket

Have a great evening everyone!!! Happy Tu Be Av (Same as Valentine Day) and lots of love!!!

Kisses!!!

Lighten up

The heat is so exhausting... seems like everyone I know is affected by it. And I know the weather is a really tired topic but really...these days my dressing habits are affected mainly by my need to stay as "light and airy" as possible. That means: no pants, no belts, no tight clothes, no heels...

Photobucket

Photobucket

Otherwise I just cannot function and thank god for air conditioning!!!

Photobucket

Photobucket

This outfit is breaking the "rules" I just mentioned, because the top is made of a quite thick fabric and it is tight...let's just say I will not wear it on a long day outside!!!

Photobucket

Besides weather issues I really need to start making things happen and getting ready for "the big move"...but with my tendency to put things aside and to wait for the last moment...I'm afraid I will find myself forgetting bunch of important things when I'll leave.

Photobucket

Hope I will get serious soon...:))

All dressed up (and nowhere to go)

Sometimes, when I feel kind of down or don't have the energy to go through the day, all it takes to cheer me up is to play a little "dress up"...a pretty dress like this sunny yellow dress from Zara can instantly recharge and take my energy levels to new heights...

This time I decided to take pictures and to add this cute headband to create this super girly and supper flirty look (a bit too dressed up for real life me, but great for dressing up at home:))) )

Photobucket

I also wanted to introduce you to my dog: Tobi. He's the only one who can instantly cheer me up and he is the sweetest and the most loving dog there is!

Photobucket

I actually never wore this dress out and still wait for the right occasion to come up...and it has been two years since I bought it. I plan to finally wear it next spring, dressed down with some edgy jacket or a simple grey cardigan and flats...

Well, this week is ending soon (although I have to work on friday which is sucks) and next week my boyfriend will be back so yay for me!

My favorite kind of flowers

I will never get enough of flower dresses, especially vintage ones... there is something about older designs that makes the dresses much more romantic and not as loud as the modern prints...

Photobucket

Photobucket

Like this vintage Ted Lapidus I bought about a year ago and still can't fall out of love with...Even though the colors are quite flashy, the flowers are big and the print is all over the dress, it manages to stay delicate and soft. So delicate in fact that I didn't even hesitate when I paired it with these crazy fringe heels...

Photobucket

Photobucket

They are sort of show stoppers themselves, but they seemed to be working with the print and the overall mood of the outfit...

Lately I'm pulled in two totally different directions: one is more minimalist, makes me to go for T-shirts and jeans, undertones and clean cuts... The other one loves ruffles, flowers, everything pattern and textured (the more the merrier)... And I don't know to which part to succumb each time I'm getting dressed (I know every girl has this problem but the intensity of this inner conflict is really confusing me)...

Photobucket

Photobucket

Anyway, even though it is confusing I do love to have those kind of shifts, because it makes fashion and dressing much more interesting and challenging... Just when you think you had your whole wardrobe figured out... Something else comes up: new aesthetic, new blogger, new city and makes you reconsider your whole approach towards clothes...

By the way, the Hebrew version of the blog is up on Fashionista.co.il :)
