New design + some more outfits

I should have done it a long time ago, i get bored easily and changing styles with blogger templates is so easy, so there we go :)

More pictures from day 2, where I got to try on amazing Herve Leger dress. I always thought the label was too sexy and tacky (all the Hollywood starlets being the example). However you just can't fight the feeling of fabulousness you get when you put this dress on!!! It hugs you in all the right places and smoothes everything that shouldn't be seen. I truly felt glamorous! There could be only one shoe label I could think of to wear it with: the Louboutins of course! True, it is not the most original outfit, but I think that every girl should try those items once...

The second outfit was the total opposite: Eudon Choi jacket with Rocco Pistolesi shoes. It would me my perfect fall outfit!!! The jacket is quite severe but still classic and the shoes would go with everything!!! It was so much fun trying the clothes on but it was also hard to leave them at the store!!!

Firenze4ever!!!

I had one of the best weekends ever at Luisaviaroma 10th anniversary online celebrations!

I still have to process and recuperate, as I just came back from Firenze today. I already have some great pictures up on Fashionista.co.il
Still, I will do some "double posting", so I apologize in advance to those of you who visit both.
At the store's "Styling Lab" we had the opportunity to dress up in the newest arrivals from the 2010/2011 fall collections. For me and my friend it was like a Disneyland. We browsed through amazing dresses, structured coats, luxurious fabrics, and shoes...oh the shoes :)

First we went for Lanvin clothes, because we wanted to show our appreciation to this wonderful fashion house and it's designer. Lanvin clothes fit everyone perfectly, there is something about those dresses that makes every woman look good in them. Then we went for some less recognizable labels such as Jean Pierre Braganza and Jo No Fui just because these are great labels of a very good quality and it was great discovering them!

Another great find: Camilla Skovgaard shoes: so comfy, I really want a pair for winter!
the only hard part was taking pictures in the horrible heat. I still can't understand how we jumped in coats when it was 30 degrees outside...:)
Still taking pictures was a lot of fun and I can't wait to receive the proffesional version from the photographer.

End of school

I didn't post anything for what feels like ages!

The last month of school was very hectic, with many projects and worries and chores, leaving very little time for everything else. Countless presentations, some of them very important with outside companies, so the pressure was high.

Yesterday was the last day, all the projects are done and basically I have about a month to enjoy Italy and Milan and lots of spare time. I plan to wander around the streets, taking lots of pictures and visit all the places I liked once again as well as those I didn't get a chance to visit yet. I also plan a short trip to Firenze and maybe lake Como, so this month is going to be very exciting!

During the eight months I spent here, I really fell in love with Milan. I know that it is not the most beautiful city in Italy but Milan is full of hidden surprises. In order to fully explore the city you need at least two years, and even then there is so much more to discover. All the exciting things are not floating on the surface, this is why it might be hard to enjoy the city in the most obvious way, but I feel like I got a small glimpse of what it has to offer.

So since I don't have a proper outfit pictures, Im posting some of the pictures from the last week of school, the presentations and my wonderful classmates.

Same jacket, different day...

Keeping with the light colors, i wanted to create a strange combination, still in a very subtile and gentle way...So pink and orange were the prefect candidates for this mission.
I chose a longer basic skirt to complement pink and orange and added a basic wooden pump I found at Zara on sale ages ago. Besides the Chloe top, everything else, is actually Zara, from previous seasons.

I suspect this outfit not everyone's cup of tea, but part of the blog and it's purpose for me is to hold these kind of experimentations in order to see if an outfit works or not. Maybe I will rework it with a different, and in summer, the jacket will have to go, but the main thing: the color combination is something that I will definitely want to keep wearing.

Meanwhile Milan is coming out of a rainy period, with more sun but also wind...I really wish it was a bit warmer, because I am tired of covering and wearing everything with tights. I don't really like ow colorful tights look on me and always stick to the basic black so it's becoming quite a task to wear lighter clothes, because black tights immediately ruin the lightness and airiness of the look.

Besides, as I mentioned on my website, it is sample sales period, which can be quite hard, as by the end of this period (of studying and not working) I can't enjoy those sales, and they are really worthy. But I keep reminding myself that there will be other sales, every season, so it is not a lost cause :)

Have a great day! Kisses!

Do you know where you're going to...

Instead of sunny May, all we got for last couple of weeks were rainy days and grey skies in Milan.
But I am sure that my last month here will be sunny and bright, full with great times and friends.

So I am keeping up with the bright tones, feeling a bit tired of all the dark colors that I embraced this winter...The skirt is an old purchase, from Zara, and although I love it so much for the textures and the layers, I rarely wear it. Maybe because I feel it is too dressy but I guess in Milan I might feel different.

Short on time today, we're throwing a party at our place today, so must prepare everything for the feast (our friends will cook!) :)

Have a great week!
Kisses!

Neutral...

What a busy week I had! No time for gym or blog or even sleep...
The tasks are getting more serious and hard, and only 5 weeks left until the end of the year.

Many parties and apperetivos ahead and I'm going to savor all the time I have here. Meanwhile, some interesting plans came up concerning the next step, hopefully they will come through...

This outfit is perfect for spring, combining pastel colors with my new nude blouse that I found last month at the vintage fair for 10 euros. During the daytime it will probably be flats as those shoes are kind of impossible to wear for the whole day (but I still love them!). I still need to tan, which is kind of impossible with the weather right now and I'm not really into tanning salons (maybe a fake tan cream, it is healthier?)

Finally I have some spring oriented outfits pulled together, many channeling the more minimalistic look, mostly inspired by Stella McCartney/Celine/Chloe. I am still on the fence about the clogs but I definitely plan to purchase some floaty dresses...

Yesterday was a crazy day in Milan, a yacht exhibition in Naviglio and a truck parties/parade which passed through the entire city, leaving the streets looking as if they were a war zone. So the whole day was spent following the trucks, looking at the yachts and eating!
