My favorite kind of pink...

Actually this kind of pink is not my favorite but...I'm addicted to it this summer (yes I'm easy when it comes to trends :) )

This is closer to the kind of pink I normally like...

silver nails...

Ever since I saw this pic on Jak&Jil, I was obsessed with metallic nails. I have no idea wether there is a nail polish that can achieve this kind of look, but through some other blog I found out about the OPI and Sephora stickers. Love them!

The only thing that bums me out is that they last only 2 days and are pretty costly...Still they are great for a special outfit or event.

Work clothes

So thousand miles away from the beautiful country that Thailand is, here I am in my work clothes in Tel Aviv.

Very unoriginal of me: I'm wearing all Zara from current and previous seasons.

Having such a beautiful weather calms me down, I'm not ready yet for all the heat and the sun, I want to wear my jackets.

This jacket is just the prefect color and I wore it to death already. Actually I can honestly say that all the outfit is "go to" clothes.

How do you feel about the snakeskin print? I'm really loving it! I have to admit much more than leopard, or maybe it's just my inner Chloe and acne geek is talking...Anyway plan to see much more of snake on the blog :)

I should have posted this a long time ago...

But I kind of liked the fact that writing this post let me to relive in some sort of way the magical time we had in Thailand.
Going through all the pictures (Many are still missing since- we didn't take our good camera with us, and need to collect all the pictures from friends) reminded me how relaxing and fun and free this month spent traveling was.
We visited north and south and I cannot imagine giving up any part of this trip. But of course we had our favorites. One of mine was Koh Phi Phi island, luckily we stayed on the more remote beach with the option to go to the main one in about 20 minutes.
* And managed to see one of the Olsen twins there (twice!)

So this is a picture overload post, not really fashionable (and I didn't really think of fashion while there) but I hope you like it :)

Happy Holidays (Pesah, Pasqua, Passover or Pascha, whatever you are celebrating!)

And a huuuuge thank you to our friend Jan, who took the beautiful pictures

Tone it down...

There's no other reason to explain my lack of blogging rather than pure laziness. I just didn't feel like blogging lately, have no idea why...But I had a free day and decided it's time to blog. Of course, in the middle of the day there was no one to take pictures, so timer pics again...

Today just doesn't feel like my day. Nothing I can put my finger on, but everything is a bit off, so are the pictures so I apologize.

With all the color craze, that I'm taking an active part in, I suddenly craved for some pastels...And not the typical pink on white/pale green that is appropriate for spring. something more subtle and dark. This image of Julia Frakes is one of my favorite street style pictures, just because the colors are pretty amazing. So here's my take on these colors...

Photobucket
The skirt was designed by my talented friend Karen,
the top I don't remember from where and the shoes are Sergio Rossi

On other hand I dug out this picture from The Sartorialist and can't stop looking, so elegant, just the essence of spring!

Dilemma

In the never ending quest to obtain as many things that are in the spirit of Jil Sander collection (yes yes I know I'm very unoriginal etc...), I found this vintage dress. It was pretty much a steal and actually was much more than I expected to get when I bought it.

Initially I was sure I will make it a maxi skirt. But when I got it, I started to doubt my decision. So I decided to show both options here and maybe get some advice. Since I can't decide what I like better.

Unfortunately wearing it both ways is not an option, since the top is really showing underneath the skirt when folded in. And since the top is a bit tight, I tend to lean toward the skirt...

So what do you think?

Down the rabbit hole...

I have to admit, after putting pictures from Milan on the blog, I wanted to savor the moment
for as long as I could and not updating and seeing it as the most current thing here
calmed me down, because I really didn't want to leave...

But things are moving forward and now I'm getting used to my new routine and learning a lot.
And since there is no photographer in sight (the boyfriend is absent and my super
talented Karen is in Milano :)) ) there was no way for me to document my outfits,
even though they were quite interesting for the last week or so...I guess I will have to recreate.

For now I will concentrate on what still takes lot's of my time and it's decorating...
Maybe this blog will soon reincarnate as a design blog?
(I don't think so but I myself started to follow many many design blogs as a result)

Fresh flowers I buy every week. I started doing this when I was living in Milan.
Flowers always cheer me up :)

Photobucket

Vintage wallpaper that was given to us by a friend for a door restoration project.
These were the leftovers that I didn't feel like throwing away.

Photobucket

These pictures (second one is in the image below) came from my grand grand mother.
I have no idea where she got them from and how old they are,
but I'm sure glad that I had enough brains not to ruin them when
I got them at 12 years old.
The pictures are printed on what looks like silk and they are pretty amazing!

Photobucket

I always felt that Laduree packaging is too good to throw away.
It is part of my bedroom decoration now :)

Photobucket

The pink chair has a neon friend in shape of this ultra bright orange fabric that is soon to become a skirt and hopefully a small pillow as well...

Photobucket

Vintage doorknobs from the 60's I ordered on Ebay.
Yet to install them on the doors, but I love them so much!

Photobucket

Some goodies I brought from Milan.
The bra is just too pretty to keep in the closet :)
The rabbit ring is another cheap and great find at my favorite accessories
shop in Chinatown, close to where I lived in Milan.

Photobucket

Hope I will soon be able to take some outfit pics...

Have a great week!!!

The coat...

I was so excited to wear my winter coat! I was afraid it will not get any lovin' this season but fortunately the crisp weather in Milano allowed me to wear it...

Photobucket

I wore it with my new brown jacket from Zara and a vintage blouse in nude colors as well...overall I got a very cool and neutral outfit that served me well...
