Roof Top

So I finally visited the roof top of the Duomo, something that every tourist does on a brief visit, I remembered to do 6 months after my arrival. This is really a must for everyone visiting Milan, the view is amazing and the ornaments and details of this breathtaking building can be appreciated from close.

The weather is getting warmer, and the nicer it gets outside, the less I want to stay at home. Also, the gelateria which is basically downstairs is reopened for spring and it is a dangerous dangerous place!

After all the pizzas and sandwiches, I really need to get back in shape for the summer, and buying ice cream every day doesn't help at all, but it is sooo good:)
I am on a never ending quest to find a perfect pair of beige wide "boyfriend" cuffed style pants. Zara is filled with them, but not even one pair looks good on me...I'm thinking vintage or DIY from an actual men's pants? I don't know, but I will keep looking...

No special outfit in these pictures, unfortunately I am still looking for a photographer until my boy will be back...until then I am a bit of a photographer myself, as I tried to get all creative with the Duomo pictures :)

And a big thank you to my friend Elena who took my photos this time :)

One more picture from the wedding and some thoughts

I am still savoring the happy moments I had with my family in Prague (hence this picture I didn't have a chance to post), but some less pleasant thoughts come to my mind lately...

The spring is arriving to Milan, with sunshine, beautiful long days and the city looks much more appealing and welcoming...However, with spring come thoughts of the future, which seems quite scary and uncertain right now...

I believe we all hit this point in our lives where we finish the "preparations" and need to enter a new faze and let the "real life" begin, starting with finding a real job, one that will reflect our aspirations, our goals and will get the career going to the right direction...Usually this point comes when we finish our studies...

This will be my next step, one I don't know where I will take. There are many obstacles for foreigners to stay in Milan the main being a lack of serious and well paid jobs (This is a real problem not only for foreigners actually) and one needs to be very realistic about chances to actually build a career from scratch without having to work for almost free for the first 2-3 years, and even after that, it is not getting much better...

So I am considering my options, preparing to the fact that I might have to return sooner than I planned and thinking of the unknown, because the next 3 months might be my last here (at least for now). This is the time to enjoy the city and to make the best of my stay...

Other than that, my photographer is on a business trip yet again, hopefully one of my friends will agree to help me with some new pictures :)
Kisses!

The wedding!

So here are some pics from the wedding as I promised...

The wedding took place in the beautiful Prague and it was a great setting for the wedding photos. We were quite an attraction at the central square, near the Astronomical clock, where the wedding took place! Still, it was intimate and truly great.
After the ceremony we drove around in a white limo, drinking champagne and stopping to take pictures, and after that had a good traditional dinner. We didn't even have a proffesional photographer, and all the photos are taken by my boyfriend.

The bride wore an Alberta Ferretti, which we found on a great deal and the dress is so unique and made of pure silk.

I wore a Moschino dress and a vintage fake fur jacket. I didn't wear the sandals I was planning to wear, as it was too cold, but I am sure I will get an opportunity to wear them come summer...

From what I hear there might be a bigger party for friends in Israel, so I guess I need to look for another dress? :)

Have a great weekend! Kisses

Still here

I'm not entirely abandoning this blog, but the school is so intense and with combination of visits from the friends and my brother's wedding last week, and flew I cought for the whole week made it nearly impossible for me to update...

This year, unlike before, I am still undecided on my spring wardrobe. I still didn't go shoping or planned what kind of trends i wand to adopt for myself. Maybe it is the lack of sunny days and a cold weather? I don't know...

All of this didn't prevent me from buying a Zara skirt which looks very much like the skirt in Celine ads. Even though I am still not exited about spring fashion 2010 (I am however, waiting for spring and lighter outfits), this skirt will surely be one of my favorites this summer...
And I almost entirely missed the fashion week (but it was worth it!) visiting only the White fair which is a clothing fair where young labels get to show their goods.

This outfit is a combination of one of my favorite knits (vintage Sonya Rykiel) ana 5 euro skirt bough on sale at H&M. I
am not sure the skirt will get to be used a lot but I figured it is a good way to spice up the closet without spending too much...

Hopefully I will get int my usual updating routine and have some time for the blog soon...Hopefully next post will be wedding pictures and Prague!
Kisses!
