Walking on the Highline...

Visiting Meatpacking district this weekend was definitely a great idea. Although I spent quite a lot of time in the area (and still have a few days ahead), I still cannot get tired walking around this beautiful area.

In the program was a brunch at Pastis (It was great: Oysters, cocktails and Creme Brulee for dessert) and a walk around shops and the Highline : a beautiful park that was built on former rails of freight trains.
Anyone that goes to NY should definitely visit this place: you get a view of the beautiful Meatpacking district and the river and on a clear day a Statue of Liberty from far.

Outfit wise I went for my trusty Celine jacket. I have to admit that I brought here only this jacket and camel coat for a colder weather, which left me with really little choice once it got too cold for blazers.

The basic black skirt is a new purchase from Zara: I needed a replacement for my "Sonia for H&M" skirt that started to look beaten. Shoes are Tosca Blu and were bought at some outlet near my apartment in Milano. Scarf is Yigal Azrouel and already became a fall favorite.

Dressing up

Trying to take my own pictures part 2 :) And trying out a new look. I have to be honest this feels a bit of a dress up to me because of the monochromatic color coordination and the length of the skirt. It's more mature and has a vintage 70's vibe to it. Probably these two will not be worn together often and will wait for me to get older :) Still as a fashion statement I feel they are very relevant.
I just adore the color of the skirt and the pattern and it will be worn with something more contemporary and young, maybe even just a black tank top and a loose cardigan. So it might reappear here soon :)

I'm enjoying my last two weeks in New York, the cold weather and the autumn mood, mentally preparing myself for the heat and hoping in will cool off a little bit in November. On the upcoming agenda: looking for an apartment (hopefully in Tel Aviv) and a job...I also have a couple of very exciting projects and ideas in mind but it will take months before something will actually goes into developing.  Hope it all goes well :)

Missing Milano

Im pretty sure that it's pretty obvious from my blog and to everyone who knows me, that I miss the great time I had in Milan. The only downfall there was not having my boyfriend around for long periods of time. But other than that I loved it there.

Last year this week I was busy cleaning and scrubbing my little apartment and getting ready for school, I loved this feeling of anticipation and excitement. So as a true Cancer zodiac sign I love reminiscing and I decided to post my favorite images from my time there, and to remember a great year. Kind of like a scrapbook :)
