Shooting the jewelry...

So as I told you before my friend asked me to participate in a shooting of his jewelry. He's making some beautiful hand crafted pieces all by himself. And what started off as a hobby slowly but surely becomes a beautifully crafted jewelry, it's exciting to see how he is polishing his style and skills with every piece.

The outfit I chose is truly a uniform of mine. and no, I didn't stop wearing long skirts once I landed in Israel. I love it too much!

That 70's look...

So writing scheduled post is pretty weird...I have very little idea where I will be when this post is published but I'm sure I will be taking lots of pictures!

I have never been to Thailand and never got to go to the "I just finished the army I want to forget about the world for half a year" trip, because I started my degree straight away. So I'm pretty excited about this trip and hope Thailand will be everything people told me about and more.

Hopefully I will get the chance to update the blog from there even though I'm not taking the laptop.

So this outfit was inspired by this post by the Sartorialist. I have these jeans for a while now. They're not as loose as they used to be but I still like them. My boyfriend and his guy friends however, told me that it's a really bad idea and rejected the beloved Sartorialist image as well...Another man repeller?

Well, if you read my blog for a while you probably know it's not the first time (and not the last) the boyfriend and I have such a different views on fashion...We agree to disagree :)

Hidden treasures...

Unfortunately I didn't have the time to update the blog as  promised, but I did have a chance to take sooo many pictures.

Recently I was helping my friend to showcase the jewelry that he is making and of course I didn't miss the chance to use some images for the blog.

So this is the first images from the series, everything from the next few posts will be a part of this little project...

This silk maxi dress was bought a couple of years ago from Zara, it was on sale and I couldn't leave it  in the store. It was just hanging in my closet since then, up until lately when I finally got the chance to wear it to a concert in Alice truly Hall in New York.

Of course the boyfriend "modeled" some stuff as well :))

Even though it is not relevant now, I feel that the dress looks much more casual paired with a simple grey sweater (same on from the last post) and I think during the cold weather I would wear it with black boots and maybe a parka when it's even colder.

Photobucket

I felt it was a great dress for showcasing the eclectic necklaces and we had lots of fun shooting everything...

Tomorrow I will be on my way to Thailand for a vacation. Even though I traveled quite a lot this year, it always had a purpose: studies, work, internship etc...It will be nice to relax and have pure fun with no stress (hopefully)...

New favorite dress in action...

So I decided to publish as many posts as I can for now, since in about a week I'm not sure I will be able to update that often and my outfits will be mostly bathing suits and not much more...I probably will have some scheduled posts, but I'm not a big fan of those so we'll see...

This is my new favorite dress, from 2 posts ago. It's very versatile and the color makes it a perfect match to almost any other shade. I already paired it with a dark green jacket in New York and very eager to find new matches for it in my closet.

This time I decided to pair it with a simple grey sweater. I got my mine ages ago from Castro men's collection. Then I was looking for the slightly off oversized look, but in this case I would actually prefer a slightly more feminine round neck with shoulder seams in place, but you gotta work with what you have.

By now my craving for red is in its' prime, and makes me covet every red piece I see. Luckily i have 2 pairs of red flats to feed my addiction. But I have a feeling they will not be enough and I will have to look for a coat, a sweater or a pair of high heels as I said in a previous post, with more statement...For this dress though, I think flats are the way to go if you're choosing red...

Same yard, same clothes and a different state of mind...

So I still didn't figure out what this weather is all about, I'm all tights and layers so discovering that  I have to get rid of those extra layers (and some extra weight I gained while eating burgers with bacon and not feeling it under all those layers in NY) is quite upsetting. Most of the time I literally feel overdressed style wise but underdressed when it comes to the number of garments I put on myself before I leave the house. As it turns out permanent weather changes are tricky!

But it is cold enough for a jacket now, at least come evening, so I decided to use my old old Zara clothes (everything in this post is Zara, very boring of me!) in order to create something that is relevant for now. I'm still lusting after this amazing red coat they have on their website but I will probably have to suck it up...

This skirt is too short for my current liking and I doubt it will be used too much without tights pared to it, but i liked how navy and the camel pairing together so nicely and creating somewhat a fresher look than my regular black skirt. Maybe I should look for a longer replacement.

I feel like it's the right time to introduce some high red heels to my wardrobe...I believe this outfit would benefit from this addition, at least for night time...I'm thinking some Isabel Marant style pointy shoes?
Even though I can't do kitten heel (I feel my legs won't benefit a thing from this style) I would look for something a bit chunkier with the same concept. I wish they made  these in red...

Pardon my tired face, still very very jet lagged !
P.S: my mom took pictures this time, isn't she great?! :)

Back home...

So I'm back in Israel and while there is a holiday trip coming very soon, the moving is somewhat permanent. I'm not sure that I'm done with living abroad but for now I enjoy my family and friends here.

Photobucket

I have to admit, the heat totally deflated my fashion mojo and I have no idea what the hell I want to wear most of the time even though I'm fully reunited with my closet, except one suitcase still waiting for me to pick it up in Milan. It seems to me this might be the perfect time to start exploring spring trends!

Photobucket

This dress was picked up at H&M around 2 weeks ago. I tend to stay away from trendy pieces because it seems to me they will be everywhere. Still, this dress had this Chloe nude ballerina vibe which I really would love to explore and it's been a while since I was this excited by fast fashion garment.
I plan to wear it with red flats and layer with nude cardigans (I probably should get one then:) )

Outfit post coming soon :)

Leaving New York

So my adventure came to an end, I'm back in Israel at least for now readjusting for the weather and the hours. I only now noticed that it gets so dark so early here!!!  I have no plan in particular for my stay here but hopefully things will turn out the best way they can.

Photobucket

Last days in NY were pretty hectic and filled with too much packing, leaving me very little time to meet friends and walk around. Still I did some milage in the last week, which is good because my gym membership expired by then.

Photobucket

Top of the Rock is a great place to take pictures for the last post from New York besides we've never been there even though are very familiar with this building for so many reasons (mine being that Magnolia Bakery is on the corner).  It was the boyfriend's birthday and I decided to surprise him at work with cake and some party goodies, so the hat was obviously a favorite :)

Photobucket

This sweater which is now resting peacefully in the closet for at least one month is a winter staple and is my favorite piece from Yigal Azrouel FW2010 collection, where I did my internship helping with the relaunch of the brand's e-commerce for the last few months and you can see the result here.

I had a great time, met wonderful people and learned some much during my stay in New York.  Hopefully New York and I are not finished yet and I will get a chance to experience living in this amazing city again someday...
